At every crossroad, we have committed to be the few who sacrifice much so that many would be blessed. We have an opportunity to do that again.
Over the next two years, we are engaging in a discipleship initiative called Deeper. By his grace, God has chosen us to build his kingdom and be his witnesses as a “city on a hill” here in Dane County and beyond.
Together, as a church, we are seeking to go deeper in our walk with Jesus as we ask this question, "Is Jesus the deepest desire of our heart?”
NEEDS to address
We have some areas that are going to limit our ability to go deeper in our ministry to our city:
Lack of meeting and lobby space to connect.
Lack of seating and parking as we continue to reach the lost and see new people join.
Lack of bathrooms and handicap accessibility.
Opportunity for increased security and more space for KidCity and CityYTH.
Better building flow to accommodate our Spanish worship service.
Need for more office space as our staff team continues to grow.

We know that there will not be equal giving but we are seeking equal sacrifice.
3 Ways to Give
Courageously
Begin to pray now about giving the largest financial gift you have ever given at City on a Hill. This gift will kick-start your two-year commitment, which will be given on November 17th, Commitment Sunday.
CONSISTENTLY
The Deeper Commitment will be an amount you commit to giving over a 25-month period ending December 2026.
Creatively
These are other non-cash gifts. You could give with stocks, cars, land, collections, or real-estate.
OUR STORY
2017
A core group of 13 begin to meet in a living room and pray about starting a new church. In September, a launch team of 45 adults launch worship services at Memorial High School.
2018
We celebrate our first baptisms, and small groups begin to meet in homes throughout the area. The staff team grows, and the church continues to become more established.
2019
We purchase our current building in Fitchburg to serve as a home and ministry hub. In the Fall, we transition to a fully local elder team and install two new elders.
2020
Like the rest of the world, we pivot to adjust to the Covid-19 pandemic. We add online services through video. By God’s grace, both giving and ministry engagement continue to increase.
2021
To accommodate the growth, we add a second worship service. We distribute 200,000 pounds of food and prayer to the community. In the process, we recognize the need for a Spanish ministry.
2022
We train up a church planting pastor, Blake Canterbury. We have the joy of sending our first church plant, Redemption Church, in Monroe, WI. We continue to develop our local outreach.
2023
We invest in next generation ministry as KidCity continues to expand. The foundation is laid to launch our student ministry, CityYTH. Leaders, staff, and elder team continues to grow.
2024
Our Spanish Pastor, Lino Rodriguez, joins the team as we prepare to launch our Spanish Ministry. CityYTH launches and our international ministry expands. Deeper Generosity initiative launches in the Fall.

Prayer fuels the mission. We’ve seen the Lord answer so many prayers during these last eight years, and we expectantly know he will work again. Join us in prayer over the next 24 months as we commit to going deeper in our faith, commitment, and generosity.
