Hey Parents!
We wanted to offer a few directions as you navigate leading your preschooler through today’s lesson and activities. Below you will find our Bible passage for the day, a lesson plan for the day, and several other tips that can help you and your child as you study and worship this morning.
Here are the materials you will need for our lesson today:
Coloring Supplies
Worship Music
1. Read the Bible Passage | REVELATION 21-22
2. Ask the Big Picture Question:
What will happen when Jesus comes back?
3. Watch the Bible Story
4. Review the Key Verse
Revelation 21:5, “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’”
5. Answer the Big Picture Question
Jesus will make all things new.
6. Pray together
7. Do one or both of the Activities
Activity #1: Play “I Spy”
Directions
Inform your preschoolers that you are going to pick an object in the room, and they have to guess what object you’ve chosen. Give your children a clue by saying, “I spy something (declare the color of the object).” Choose only items that are clearly visible to your children.
Say
In our Bible story, Jesus gave John a vision. A vision is like a dream except you are awake! In this vision, there were many things that John saw and wrote down. We’ll learn what John saw in our Bible study!
Activity #2: Listen to Worship Music
Directions
Lead your children to listen to worship music.
Say
This reminds us a little of what life will be like in the new heaven and the new earth. In John’s vision, he heard a large crowd of people praising God. We praise Jesus here on earth now, but Jesus will come back and make all things new. When He does, we will get to praise Him forever with people from every nation.
EXTRA TIPS
Start the morning working on the coloring sheet and activity page.
As time permits, do one activity before the Bible Story Video and one activity afterward, to help reinforce the message.
Encourage your preschooler to memorize the Key Verse, Revelation 21:5.
